Adcock wins award Adcock Refrigeration & Air Conditioning has won the Family Business of the Year Award 2016 for East and East Anglia. Gilberts solves air-movement issue for Exhibition Centre Liverpool The air-movement system for the halls and main atrium of the new £66 million Exhibition Centre Liverpool was designed and supplied by Gilberts (Blackpool). Built by ISG, the venue is Europe’s only purpose-built interconnecting arena, convention centre and exhibition centre. It provides 8100 m2 of space in a complex that includes the new 4-star hotel Pullman Liverpool. Waterloo delivers ventilation for Embassy Gardens residential development The prestigious Embassy Gardens residential development in the South Bank redevelopment area in London features an extensive range of Waterloo grilles and diffusers that were specified throughout the apartments and communal areas. This complex of 1982 homes forms a horseshoe around the new diplomatic precinct, home to the Dutch and US embassies. Nittan smoke detectors overcome false alarms at UAE due to steam With so many false alarms in student accommodation at the University of East Anglia being caused by steam escaping from bathrooms and activating smoke alarms — around 20 a week — the university has replaced its smoke detectors with Nittan’s Evolution EV-DP dual-wavelength photo-electric smoke detectors. 4500 Nittan devices, including more than 2500 EV-DP smoke detectors, have been installed by Global Fire Services in the 24 accommodation buildings across the 320 acre UAE campus.
